Aloha,
I have quite the outgoing personality so we can and will connect in several ways. My father lived on Maui since ~ 1985. He would invite us over from wherever I was in the world like Antarctica, New Zealand, Chile, Costa Rica, or Alaska. I've been blessed working amazing outdoor jobs. I finished my National Park Service career in Maui at Haleakala NP. I was fortunate to work at both the summit but primarily in the jungle of Kipahulu past Hana.
I've worked as a NPS climbing, mountaineering, bear management and visitor services ranger doing primarily Search and Rescue. many of these parks are considered "Crown Jewels" like: Denali, Glacier, Yosemite, Rocky Mountain and Devils Tower National Monument.
In Minnesota I learned paddling at the prestigious Voyageur Outward Bound School (VOBS). It is there that I honed my outdoor skills working as an Instructor primarily with 14-16 yo "Status Offenders". I graduated from the UW-Madison in Sociology and Criminal Justice. We had a world renowned Outings Club named HOOFERS where I learned rock climbing, skiing, and sailing.
At present I work for the County of Maui Parks & Recreation. I live in Central Maui at Ma'alaea Harbor. I'm certified in Pre-Hospital Trauma Care and Level III surf SUP.
