About me
Greetings,

I'm Scott, a 47-year-old venue manager with a wealth of experience in fostering community engagement and civil responsibility. Originally from Seattle, I was raised in an environment where my biological parents served as foster parents to at-risk youth for 26 years. This upbringing instilled in me a commitment to community, eventually shaping my career as a manager at major venues in Seattle, including the Paramount & Moore Theaters.

My passion lies in enhancing people's experiences, a trait that led me to Atlanta, where I served as the House Manager for the largest puppetry museum in the US. Subsequently, I moved to Hawaii, taking on the role of Director of Guest Services (and tours) at the Battleship Missouri Memorial in Pearl Harbor.

Marriage brought me to New Orleans, where I spent my initial two years managing staff at prominent attractions like the Zoo, Aquarium, Insectarium, and the Steamboat Natchez. I thrive in environments that allow me to share my knowledge about this remarkable place and engage with diverse groups of people.

In between these enriching roles, I've embarked on extensive sabbaticals in Australia, Belize, and seven European countries. Although I may not speak foreign languages fluently, my comfort and ease in interacting with individuals from around the world are unwavering.

It's crucial to emphasize that at heart, I am a West Coast liberal, advocating strongly for equality. All gender identities, sexual orientations, age groups, and mental and physical abilities are not just welcomed but celebrated. Feel free to express your preferences, and I'll guide you through a side of New Orleans that many people never get to experience.
My Offer
My expertise lies in showcasing the authentic Louisiana, free from the typical tourist lens. Beyond the allure of Bourbon Street, there exists a side of this city that often goes unnoticed. I reside in the Marigny, one of NOLA's oldest neighborhoods with a rich history—birthplace of Jellyroll Martin and formerly home to the infamous "Storyville" Red Light District, leaving an enduring impact on the city.

The locals on this side of town experience life close enough to the Quarter to relish its offerings, yet we boast our own unique attractions. Frenchmen Street, a short walk away, serves as the heart of Jazz, surrounded by burlesque shows, distinctive wine bars, local dives, and a diverse array of food options. And when the cityscape isn't enough, just an hour away lie places brimming with authentic Cajun culture, delectable cuisine, National Parks, roadside attractions, unique performance spaces, and the stunning beaches of the Gulf.

I always say, if you find yourself bored in New Orleans, it's likely because you're not tapping into the wealth of experiences the city and its surroundings have to offer!

Best way to see the sites by Tiffany

This is hands down the best way to see the major sites and not have to worry about doing it on your own. We were able to get a great feel for the city and visit some places we normally would not get to see. Our host was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
