Right now, I'm knee-deep in studying tourism because I figure there's no better way to combine my love for exploration with my knack for getting to the heart of what makes each place tick.
When I'm not nose-deep in textbooks, I'm out there exploring new neighborhoods, munching on local grub, or just shooting the breeze with the locals. Travel, to me, is about more than just ticking places off a list. It's about diving into the real stories, the traditions, and the people that make each nook and cranny of the world something special.
So, whether it's deciphering the mysteries of ancient ruins, chowing down on grub at a tucked-away eatery, or having a chinwag with a local artisan about their craft, I'm up for it! I'm always game for an adventure that promises to teach me something fresh and give me a glimpse into the incredible stories the world has to tell.
Honolulu, for starters, is like the lively heart of the island. It's got a mix of cultures, food that'll make your taste buds dance, and some awesome art stuff happening. And if you're into history, Pearl Harbor and the Iolani Palace are where it's at.
Now, let's talk Windward Coast. It's all about greenery, rainforests, towering cliffs, and this super peaceful temple called Byodo-In Temple. It's like stepping into another world.
And if you're the adventurous type, there are some epic hikes. Diamond Head is a classic, and Lanikai Pillbox Hike is a real challenge with killer views as your reward.

Ashley is an exceptional local guide in Honolulu. Her profound knowledge of the island truly heightened our experience, whether we were exploring the beaches or savoring a delightful lunch together. Thoroughly enjoyed our North Shore experience with Ashley. From the moment she picked us up we knew we were in good hands. She asked what our likes and dislikes were and tailored our visits to what we liked. She took us to a coffee farm for coffee and told us about the history of coffee on the island. She also got us to try Poke and we also had perfect garlic shrimp at Big Wave Shrimp Truck on the North Shore. We went to Pipeline, Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach which was something we have wanted to see in person for a long time. Ashley also took us to two secluded beaches where we swam. Absolutely beautiful.
Super fun! Plus, Ashley gave us other information that helped us plan other outings while we were on the island. We really felt like we made a friend. We will always remember you, Ashley, and our great day with you on the island! Mahalo and our very best to you and your family.
Ashley was an excellent host; Knowledgeable, articulate and a great sense of humor. I will definitely go to her next time I am able to visit Hawaii.
