I like to call myself a "Sweet Dough" Not a "Sour Dough".
I have been working in the Alaska travel tourism industry for the past 10 years, guiding all over the state.
I am a current member of ATIA (Alaska Travel Industry Association).
I am very outgoing and type of person to make friends in the local grocery store line.
In my free time I like to explore new local coffee and new wine shops, explore try out new restaurants, go to Art walk, get involved in the local community putting on local events, go on hikes, cross country ski, play music ( I play the keyboards, flue, and ukelele) and teach a nature drawing art class, and hang out with friends at a local meetup group.
Some of my favorite things in Alaska include Snow, Mountains, People, Our local wildlife ( moose, bears, birds), and our culture as well as showing others what our state is about and why we live here year round.

Loved this experience! Maria was fun and knowledgeable. It was a great way to see the city and learn about things to do beyond the landmarks. We had spent time in Anchorage before, but having a guide makes the city really come alive.
We hung out with our new friend and it was very enjoyable. She talked about the past and present day life in Anchorage and pointed out lots of historic and interesting features we would have missed. Well worth a nice trip.

I was truly impressed with this entire experience. Excellent host! I would highly recommend booking a citysurfing local and would definitely do it again!
All the arrangements were simple to set up and everything went better than planned. Our citysurfing guide was incredibly knowledgeable and informative, giving the types of insights you can only get from a local. She also provided some incredible eating recommendations that were outstanding!
