That is the extent of my foreign language skills. Although I am extremely versed in what to see and do throughout America and fluent in English. Being an outdoor adventure leader, traveler and tour coordinator I've been to over 40 states in America, planned and led group travel throughout North America and internationally.
What I am most happy about is creating memorable experiences for those who share the journey with me. Many of those who have after decades still remember me and still use photos from our adventures, on their social sites after all these years. The outdoor adventures I coordinate are hike and walk based from beginner level to mountain climber (well perhaps not Mt Everest, although I am a former certified rock climber, and ski instructor).
I have been certified in Advanced Wilderness First Aid, Standard First Aid and CPR to make sure the trips I am part of have a degree of increased safety. I also teach map and compass skills, and outdoor leadership. Having introduced guests to some of the most awesome and beautiful locations, even within 90 minutes of NYC, for over twenty years I am familiar with most of the areas that are filled with panoramic wonder, sprawling vistas, nature's abundance and wildlife. I also know where all the blueberries, huckleberries, raspberries are in abundance; swim holes, and natural wonders.
By professional I am an event planner. What that means is I conduct site inspections of different locations to make sure they are a fit for any particular event and for the guests.
Being a resident in NYC and using public transportation frequently, my wealth of knowledge of the most interesting places to visit and how to get around NYC and nearby areas are second nature to me. Did you know there is a private Dutch cemetery right inside Prospect Park? Where to see one of the most decorated neighborhoods for Christmas? Where chains were draped across the Hudson River during the Revolutionary War? Or perhaps how you can walk half a mile underground in downtown NYC including the Oculus? I don't know everything but I know allot of what will amaze you.
I am a great conversationalist as well as a encyclopedia for information and history. A person with a sense of humor, easy going, mindful, and considerate. I have nothing to sell you or than to be your Chumo and have no personal financial gain in taking you anywhere you desire.. I just love seeing, exploring and introducing others to what New York and the United States has to offer!
First I will customize and plan your itinerary based on what you want to experience and see. You will visit overlooked locations even locals do not know about, Natural areas abundant in scenery and wildlife many locals and visitors never get to experience, Areas and attractions that are not to be missed, Places in and around the NYC metro that is a must for a bucket list for visitors to the area, and Don't forget about the tourist locations every visitor needs to see but may not know how to get to or go about visiting. *Please note any travel requiring transportation (including public transportation) to get to/from, admissions/entrance fees, and other costs are paid for by guest including my own costs. If my vehicle is used for travel the cost is 50 cents per mile plus tolls (no more than six passengers) - paid for in cash $US dollars by end of trip. These expenses are in addition to posted hourly rate.
