I'm born and raised in Singapore, but moved to Canada for a bit for university and work. Having been back here for a while now, I would say I am quite familiar with the sights and hidden gems of Singapore :)
As someone who has lived abroad for a few years, I love meeting people, learning about their culture and language, and why they do what they do. And also introduce you to different tastes - not just the famous chicken rice. After all, Singaporean cuisine comprises of food from four different ethnic groups - Chinese, Malay, Indian and Peranakan. There may also be opportunities for scouting photography spots if the guest is a photographer or trying to find the most interesting sites to shoot.
We met online so my family could get tips on things to do on our upcoming trip. He was very knowledgeable and helped us plan our itinerary for the entire trip. We really loved having a local help us plan a trip rather than trying to piece everything together ourselves.
Danny was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave us a fantastic overview of the city. We felt it was time well spent and gave us a chance to see a part of Singapore we wouldn’t have otherwise
Our time together was perfect. Not only did we have fun hanging out in the city, but I just really enjoyed his fun and cheerful personality. Someone that makes you smile all the time. What a blessing to have him as our host.
An amazing day. He was very accommodating, and would speak up or slow down if needed. Much more fun than a boring bus tour.
